ADMISSION PROCEDURE FOR BACHELOR´S STUDIES

The admission procedure enables the applicant, who proves that he meets the specified conditions of admission to study, to become a student of the relevant study program at FFA. The basic condition for accepting applicants for a bachelor's degree is to successfully graduate from high school with a high school diploma and demonstrate the skills and personal disposition for chosen study program. If the admission interviews at FFA take place before the date of the applicant's matriculation exam, the applicant is admitted to study conditionally. Definitive admission to study is conditional upon successful completion of the matriculation exam. The applicant must submit proof of completion of secondary school education (leaving certificate) within ten days after taking the matriculation exam, but no later than by the date of registration for studies. FFA verifies the fulfillment of the conditions with an entrance exam, which is intended as part of the verification of study abilities. The specified conditions and the method of verifying their fulfillment allow the selection of applicants who demonstrate the highest degree of ability to study. For an applicant with specific needs, upon his request, based on the evaluation of his specific needs [§ 100, art. 9, letter b)], the form of the entrance exam and the method of its implementation will be determined, taking into account their specific needs. The admission procedure takes place in person. If, at the time of the admission procedure, the study is being conducted using the distance method of teaching, the admission procedure can also take place via the distance method. Due to the application of the same evaluation criteria for all applicants for studies at FFA, it is not possible to determine an alternative date for the admission procedure. Bachelor studies take place only in the form of full-time studies, external forms are not possible. The admission procedure for an applicant to study at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the Academy of Arts in Banská Bystrica begins with the filling out of the application form and its subsequent sending to the faculty by the specified date. Instead of a written application, the Faculty allows the delivery of an application in electronic form without a guaranteed electronic signature, using an information system that enables the applicant to verify its registration in the information system from the date of its submission until the end of the admission procedure.
